Traffic Calming Rose Park Kill Lane

Cllr Thomas Joseph raised a motion requesting the installation of appropriate traffic-calming measures at Rose Park and the surrounding roads adjoining Kill Avenue (details supplied) to address ongoing safety concerns. The motion highlighted the risks posed to the many older residents and children living in the estate by vehicles travelling at excessive speeds and using the area as a shortcut through the wider road network. It also requested a report outlining the proposed actions and implementation timeline to be presented to the Area Committee at its next meeting.

13/08/2026 : Site visit conducted with residents. The Council needs to consider safety concerns at the Rose Park bend and at two locations on Kill Avenue (bypass): the road opening from Rose Park, and particularly the road opening from Birch Grove.
17/08/2026 : Raised ticket seeking an update on the status of large excavations in Kill Ave and highlighting safety concerns, requesting that additional safety measures be considered to protect children and other members of the public using the area.
